Commodity Groups Award Scholarships

Recipients receive more than $20,000 from major commodity groups.

Students focused on agriculture are important to the future of the industry, and four commodity groups are working with BASF to support that effort. During Commodity Classic this year, 12 students were awarded scholarships totaling $20,000 from the American Soybean Association, National Sorghum Producers, National Corn Growers Association and the National Wheat Foundation.

Students from a wide range of universities were represented during the ceremony, held during a meeting. Neil Bentley, director of marketing, U.S. Crop, BASF, acted as emcee of the event, noting the focus of these students on agriculture and adding that “these students have shown a commitment to the future of our industry through their enthusiasm for learning and desire for sustainable agriculture.”…
