The Western Governors’ Association will host the webinar, Broadband Data & Mapping: Federal Action & Developments, on Nov. 15.
The webinar, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. MT, is part of a series in conjunction with the Reimagining the Rural West Initiative of WGA Chair and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. The Chairman’s Initiative is examining challenges and opportunities in rural economic development, including a strong focus on promoting digital connectivity to rural communities.
Panelists will discuss the Federal Communications Commission’s ongoing Digital Opportunity Data Collection project, legislative efforts to improve broadband data and mapping, and a National Telecommunications & Information Administration-led pilot project to map broadband coverage using state data. Panelists include:
