What are you doing this Zero Emissions Day? Maricopa County, AZ

As last month’s IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Report reminds us, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to halt global temperature rise, reliant upon halving global emissions by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050. This Zero Emissions Day and Clean Energy Week, join us in celebrating stories of community action for a healthier, more equitable future for all.

Our most recent film Community Power Arizona: En Nuestrxs Manos (In Our Hands)tells the story of Maricopa County moms who, upon seeing their children suffering from asthma, banded together in an effort for electric school buses — and succeeded.

This Arizona milestone mirrors community power stories accomplished throughout our country and globe. They are proof that collective actions can lead to big victories, but they need and deserve far more support. Take clean energy action NOW and make your voice heard!

We want to hear from you! How are you taking action in your community this day, this week, and beyond? Do you identify with the mothers and organizers ofCommunity Power Arizona: En Nuestrxs Manos (In Our Hands)? What inspires and motivates you to keep working towards a green future?

Share your response with the film on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram to join the conversation on social media (and tag us @theredfordcenter)! We can’t wait to hear.
