NIB NM MEETING, WITH SEN TALLMAN AND OTHERS, FRI, OCT 15, 5PM MT, 7PM ET

You are invited to participate in a New Mexico policy discussion on Friday, October 15 at 5pm MT to discuss new initiatives to accelerate the campaign to enact HR 3339 in Congress.  Over the past several weeks nearly twenty newspapers nationally have carried the Op-Ed calling for Congress to create the $5 trillion infrastructure bank. Three papers in New Mexico carried the Op-Ed:  The Santa Fe New Mexican, the Rio Rancho Observer, and the Albuquerque Journal.  In addition, the Coalition for a National Infrastructure Bank purchased a banner ad in the Albuquerque Journal online edition (see all below.)  This will be a free-wheeling dialogue which will be spearheaded by Sen. Bill Tallman and others.  We are really working on moving members of Congress to sign onto HR 3339.  In Chicago similar actions have led to Rep. Chuy Garcia to co-sponsor and in New York, Rep. Mondaire Jones just signed onto the bill. As the debate in Congress over infrastructure financing intensifies, our intervention is crucial.  Please join this discussion.  Thanks.

Sen. Bill Tallman, District 18, Albuquerque

Angela Merkert, Executive Director, Alliance for Local Economic Prosperity (New Mexico), Albuquerque
