ISLETA, NM – The Second Annual National Latino Farm and Ranch Congress will take place at the Isleta Resort and Casino, October 28-30, 2021.  The theme of the national congress is “seeking solutions for Latino Farmers and Ranchers, Post-Covid 19 Pandemic and Climate Crisis.  

NM Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham will participate regarding the state of NM Agriculture.  Senator Ben Ray Lujans Office and the other members of the Congressional Delegation will help farmers and ranchers better understand the federal process related to the Reconciliation Bill of 2021 and how the Biden rollouts will affect NM, as well as the upcoming US Farm bill.

Other concerns of the national gathering include: Food Security and Building a Resilient Food System, Conservation, USDA programs, Water, (Drought), Soil Health, Banking, Hemp and Cannabis, Labor, Infrastructure Transportation, and Broadband in rural and native communities.

The national gathering will be live at Isleta, and projected virtually via the Web.
