INVITATION: USDA FPAC Justice40 Meeting, (Monday, November 8th, 3-4:15pm EST), (Tuesday, November 9th, 12-1:15pm EST) & f(Monday, November 15th, 2:30-4:15pm EST)

Good Morning,

At USDA, we are committing ourselves to the values of equity and inclusion rooted in justice and equal opportunity for our employees and those we serve. This includes recognizing opportunities within the Department that ensure historically underserved groups more fully access, participate, and benefit from USDA programs and services. USDA is also part the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government effort to fight climate change and address environmental justice through the Justice40 Initiative, a historic call to direct 40% of the benefits from overall federal investments toward historically underserved communities.

Following listening sessions on equity held earlier this year on barriers to access, USDA is moving into implementation phase. To inform our strategy on the Justice40 effort in particular, USDA would like to hear your perspective on how specific categories of farm programs can better drive benefits to underserved producers and communities. The Food Production and Conservation (FPAC) Mission Area, which includes the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and the Risk Management Agency (RMA) is holding a set of small group meetings, each focused on a particular type of farm-facing program. We hope you can join us for one or more of these sessions so we can hear from you on how to improve these programs. Please register for the respective meeting you plan to attend at the information provided below.

Please note these are by invite-only.

We hope you are able to join us to share your perspective.

We know your time is limited and valuable, and appreciate any time you can spend with us.
