Invite: Organic and sustainable ag coalition workshop 12/15

I want to invite you to a half-day workshop in Washington, DC, on Dec. 15th to collaboratively plan the future of organic and sustainable agriculture.

In partnership with the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems at ASU and Dr. Kathleen Merrigan, OTA is bringing together a diverse group of sustainable agriculture allies working on climate change, child nutrition, pesticides, farmworker health, and animal welfare.  Join us to debate, collaborate, and form a more robust national coalition to chart the industry’s future.

Both Congress and the Biden/Harris Administration are increasingly turning their attention to critical issues in the progressive food and farming space. As we head into the next farm bill, we have a unique window of opportunity to ensure that financial resources and federal policies address climate change, workers’ rights, environmental racism, health, and other progressive food and agriculture issues in a meaningful way.

The foundation for a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future is built on a strong and diverse coalition of committed allies, and we hope you will add your perspective to this collaborative workshop.
