Your help is needed: Please tell your networks to call their Senators Friday, January 14 to Restore the Child Tax Credit and pass Build Back Better.
For the past six months, parents have been getting the child tax credit. The next payment was supposed to show up this Friday, but it’s not going to.
That’s because the Senate has not acted to renew it. For a family with two children, ages 4 and 7, that’s $550 that won’t be deposited in their account.
Here is sample language you can just paste into an email to your networks. Any constituent should be encouraged to call – and we especially hope parents will call to ask “Where’s My Child Tax Credit?” and to say how important it is to their families.

Whether you’re a parent or not, you know how important the Child Tax Credit is to families: It’s groceries, gas in the car, winter coats, or simply peace of mind. It is unacceptable that the Senate let the checks expire, and it will be infinitely more so if they don’t start them back up as soon as possible.
When you reach your Senators’ offices*: Tell them you support the expanded Child Tax Credit, ensuring that millions of families continue receiving monthly payments – if your family received monthly payments through December, say that, and say why it’s helpful – and urge swift renewal of the Child Tax Credit as part of the Build Back Better Act.
Thanks so much for making sure your Senators know you are demanding action to bring back the Child Tax Credit as part of the Build Back Better Act – the help our people need.
*Please call twice to reach both your U.S. Senators.
