If you ask any CEO, “How do you make an organization successful? ” Surely the answer would be: ” to have the best staff”. And Rudy knew this, that’s why he started looking for the people he wanted to have on board. For 16 years he worked with different people who, over the years, contributed to the organization but who, due to different circumstances, moved away. Choosing the right people is VITAL for the operation of any company, they must have the necessary experience, they must know how to work as a team, they must contribute to the company for its growth, they must be committed to the mission and vision, they must become family.
Rudy Arredondo defines his staff as “the chosen ones” because he recognizes that at this moment he has the right team, they bring what the organization needs, they help the organization grow, they complement each other, support each other, help each other, but most importantly, they are committed to the mission and vision of NLFR.
The team that currently makes up NLFR, is a dream team, entrepreneurs in the DMV area, who are committed to the organization, but how did Rudy Arredondo come to form this team? As the popular adage goes, you get to Rome by asking questions. Rudy knew that first he needed his co-teammate, a trustworthy person who had the same dream as him and who would help him within the organization, that is why he thought and decided on Eugene Pickett, a rancher who has always supported Rudy and who has the same dream. Rudy knew that to strengthen NLFR he needed a strong financial team, so he brought on board Diana Avellaneda and Angela Buitrago from DAPA MULTISERVICES ADVISORS. With Diana and Angela’s help and after Rudy and Eugene presented the organization’s marketing, communications and IT needs, they decided to add Juan, Ivan and Sergio, owners of APPMIGOS DIGITAL 360, to their team. Subsequently and due to Rudy’s multiple occupations and commitments, they realized that they needed an Executive Administrative Assistant, and what better person to perform these tasks than Ana Mejia, owner of CATHARSIS. Finally, given the need to organize the interior of the organization, it was necessary to bring in a COO. The search for a COO was not easy, as we needed someone who met the necessary requirements. The search finally paid off when Sandra Gonzalez from The DoMas Group joined the team. Most recently, NLFR has added three gems to the team: Milli Legrain, a multilingual journalist and communications consultant based in Washington, DC with 17 years experience in the United States, Latin America and Europe. Consultant is fully bilingual in English and Spanish; R. Randal Stefan Templeton, supporting the growth of the Farmers Market, an entrepreneur with a solid background in leadership, investment, and security, promoting sustainable and equitable development; Last but not least Dr. Abdin Noboa Rios, a distinguished evaluator, researcher, psychologist, and program developer working primarily in the fields of education, mental health, organizational development and community development, specializing in social science research and policy development. Finally, Rudy Arredondo and NLFR have the ideal team, now to WORK.
